Speed Call - 8
Speed Call - 8 allows the subscriber to create a list of up to eight emergency or frequently dialed numbers, which the subscriber can call by dialing a one-digit code. The one-digit code can be any number from two to nine.
How to Program Speed Call-8:
Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone. Push *74 on your touchtone phone (1174 for rotary phones). Listen for the dial tone.
Dial one of the eight one-digit speed numbers (2 through 9). Dial the number you wish to speed call (for long distance entries, remember to include the "1" and the area code).
Push the # button (on rotary phones, omit this step and wait four seconds). Listen for the two beeps, which indicate that your number has been entered. Then hang up and repeat procedure.
You may continue entering all the numbers on your list at this time or enter them one at a time, later. You should keep track of your speed-numbers on a reference list and keep the list near your phone.
How to Use Speed Call-8:
Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone. Dial the appropriate one-digit speed number (2 through 9; For rotary phones dial "112" - "119"), then press "#". Your call will now be automatically dialed.
