Call Forwarding - Don't Answer
Call Forwarding - Don't Answer redirects your telephone calls to another telephone number if you do not answer your telephone call within a pre-specified number of rings (default is four rings). The number of telephone rings before your call is forwarded can be determined by the subscriber, but set by the telephone company. This can be set from one to 10 rings.
How to Use Call Forwarding - Don't Answer:
Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone. Push *92 on your touchtone phone (1192 for rotary phone). Again, listen for dial tone. Now, dial the number where you wish your calls forwarded. When someone answers at the forwarded number, your Call Forwarding - Don't Answer feature is now in effect. If there is no answer, or if the line is busy, hang up and repeat the previous steps. If you do this within two minutes, you'll hear two beeps meaning your Call Forwarding - Don't Answer feature is now working. If customer requests just one call to forward to number if no answer, we can make this so no answer is required or no second call is needed. Simply dial the forward to number. You will hear two beeps and it is activated.
