As spring baseball draws near the post season and graduation talks are on the tips of exiting seniors, BEK Sports is hard at work preparing for the upcoming summer broadcast season.

For the first time in nearly 20 years the Badlands Bowl will reach TV air waves as the BEK Sports Network will cover this North Dakota vs. Montana border battle on June 19th, from Fisher Field inside the Badlands Activities Center on the campus of Dickinson State College. Kick-off is set for 7:00pm CST (6:00pm MST).

For the third consecutive year, the Shrine Bowl will be televised on the BEK Sports Network. The 11-Man game is set to start at 4:00pm with the 9-Man game to follow at 7:00pm on July 10th.

For the second time in as many years the 2 day basketball All Star contest between the boys and girls of Class A and Class B will reach the TV viewers of North Dakota. The Lions All-Star games will tip-off Tuesday July 20th with the Class A vs Class B Girls battling at 6:00pm and the Boys taking the court around 8:00pm inside the Bismarck Civic Center. On Wednesday night they will make the trek east and again match-up, but this time from the Fargo Civic Auditorium.

Some changes have been made recently here at the BEK Sports Network. Former Broadcast Director,  J.R. Havens, has moved on to pursue other opportunities while former Broadcast Director, Ashley Portra, has moved on to pursue her Master Degree at the University of Minnesota-Mankato. We wish both of them the best of luck in their future endevors.

With their departure, comes a changing of the guard. The newest additions to the BEK Sports Team including Live Event Director, Jeris Deboer, to BEK Sports West and Jason Ashmawi, Live Event Director, to BEK Sports Central. We welcome the newest members to the BEK Sports Family and look forward to working with them this upcoming sports season.

Please check back periodically to see what exciting things are taking place here at BEK Sports.
