Graphic Designer

We are looking for a lean, mean, digitally fluent, content-creating machine, focused on taking our brand to the next level, strengthen our product awareness, and provide support for generating inbound leads. This role requires strong communications skills with a high level of creativity, graphic design, attention to detail, and focused project management skills.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Build product content (e.g., sales enablement documentation, promotional videos, website copy, blog posts, friendly how-to-videos) to articulate the use and benefits of our products to the world.
  • Develop content regularly to grow the company’s footprint (corporate announcements, product description, brand awareness and creative content).
  • Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and other initiatives.
  • Together with the product team, educate both internally and externally of our product features and benefits.
  • Collaborate with marketing team, production team, product developers, sales professionals, and industry experts to produce relevant content that strengthens our brand awareness and provides support of our products.
  • Collaborate with marketing manager to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all platforms.
  • Convince management that your creative ideas are worth investing time and effort in. This role is at the core of the marketing team, and others will rely on your work every single day.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or a related field required.
  • Keen ability to work with a management team

Network Operations Engineer

Job Responsibilities

As part of a team, you will be directly responsible for all operational facets of complex, multi-platform networks with a mixture of components including:

  • ISP services
  • IPTV services
  • Wireless data
  • Telecom switching and special circuits
  • Voice services, including SIP

Primary Duties Include:

  • Engineering, design, testing and installation of new technologies, network expansion activities, manage planned maintenance events
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation usable by your team that include diagrams, troubleshooting and maintenance processes, accurate hardware/software inventories
  • Monitoring all communications network elements and alarm equipment, as well as isolating, fixing and reporting root cause of network faults
  • Produces network performance reports and tools to aid understanding patterns of use
  • Working with team in a proactive and responsive manner to prevent and address service degradation or outage conditions
  • Support Outside Plant and Customer Experience personnel to resolve difficult product performance issues. 
  • Contributing to the company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy, integrity and teamwork

In addition to individual projects, this role is responsible for working with various personnel to implement complex product implementations.  Some of the daily responsibilities for this position include:

  • Creating and executing project plans as part of a team
  • Interacting with multiple departments and customers on a daily basis.
  • Minimizing network downtime and customer impact.
  • Implementing new product offerings.
  • Other duties as required

Plant Technician - Seasonal



BEK Communications is seeking qualified candidates for Plant Technician-Seasonal.  This position generally carries employment from the construction months of May through November.  BEK is looking for 2 seasonal Plant Technicians to report out our Steele office, and 1 seasonal Plant Technician to report out of our Wheatland, ND office location.

Job Description:

BEK Communications Plant Technician will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of BEK Outside Plant Infrastructure.

Job Duties:

  • Requires the installation and maintenance of Outside Plant cabling using digging, drilling, trenching or plowing equipment.
  • Splices Outside Plant cabling and ensures it meets BEK quality standards.
  • Maintains proper use of Rights-of Way.
  • Understands safety on the construction jobsite and adheres tightly to BEK and OSHA safety standards and procedures.
  • Functions as a team player.
  • Willing to work in all types adverse conditions to keep or restore BEK services to its customers.
  • Requires the ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, various business contacts, and BEK members/customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor

  • Must hold a valid ND Class D Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to distinguish difference in color.

Network Service Technician


We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Network Service Technician (NST) reporting from our Buffalo Central Office Post. The candidate who fills this position must reside within 30 minutes of Buffalo, ND and will be granted 6 months from the date of acceptance to relocate if required.


Network Service Technician provides telecommunications, data, and IPTV services to customers by constructing maintaining, operating and servicing, telephone lines, instruments and related equipment.  Conducts tests and inspections of products, service, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.


Computer skills are required along with experience in personal computer hardware and software maintenance and emphasis on internet applications.  Ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventative maintenance and networking of telecommunications services in both business and residential environments.


Minimum education/experience required for the position is:  knowledge and skills usually acquired through two years technical training or four years experience. Experience and knowledge in residential networks and entertainment technologies are desired.  A+ certification is a plus.


Qualified applicants must be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a prompt, helpful and friendly manner. They must possess outstanding problem solving, communications and technical skills, along with a strong work ethic.  Excellent customer service and communication skills, attention to detail and willingness to be trained on other systems within the company, as well as within the industry, are vital qualities.  Ability to work on call and evenings and weekends as needed. Proficiency with computers and basic networking experience is required.  Technician must be a self starter and motivated to learn quickly.  Ability to operate hand tools and perform professional cabling installations is key.


Responsibilities are varied, including installation, repair and maintenance of FTTH and copper based facilities; programming, and troubleshooting of our IPTV system, high speed data networks, and data products. Install, maintain, repair of customer equipment and IP services. The employee will also promote the sale of products and features and educate customers on the use of equipment. Applicant may be asked to fill extended stay duties away from reporting post when required.  Performs all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
