Local Graduates Receive Scholarships

Nine area high school seniors have been selected as recipients for the 2012 BEK Communications Scholarship Program. 

This year, BEK awarded three $500 academic scholarships, three $500 vocational/technical scholarships and three $500 BEK Broadcasting scholarships.  Since the program began in 1994, BEK has awarded a total of $71,500 to graduating seniors.

BEK received a total of 40 scholarship applications this year.  Congratulations to the following recipients:

Academic Scholarship Winners

Jonathan Ketterling, Wishek High School.  Jonathan is the son of Ron and Diane Ketterling of Wishek, N.D.

Nayland M. Smith, Century High School.  Nayland is the son of Mark and ReNae Smith of Bismarck, N.D.

Phillip Wanner, Wishek High School.  Phillip is the son of Scott
and Carrie Wanner of Wishek, N.D.

Amber Braun, Wing High School.  Amber is the daughter of Mike and Rhonda Braun
