BEK Communications Cooperative Appoints a New Director to District I

Lois Sundquist of Wilton, N.D. was appointed to serve District I at the BEK Communications Cooperative Board of Directors meeting held on Oct. 29, 2012. Ms. Sundquist will be fulfilling Director Richard Hausauer's term which ends in June of 2013. At that time, she may run as an incumbent from District I for a three year term if she chooses.
The BEK Communications Cooperative Board of Directors called for a special caucus meeting of District I members which was held on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at 7:45 p.m. at Century High School in Bismarck, N.D. The purpose of this cooperative meeting was to accept nominations from the floor and vote to select a nominee to fill the District I board of director vacancy left by the passing of 32 year veteran Director Richard Hausauer.
President Brett Stroh called the meeting to order and explained the reason for the meeting and the eligibility requirements to serve on the board of directors for BEK Communications Cooperative. Lois Sundquist was nominated from the floor to fill the director vacancy in District I. A motion was made and seconded to cast a unanimous ballot for her nomination.
District I consists of the Regan, Sterling, McKenzie, Wilton and Wing exchanges.
Lois is originally from the Regan area. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and previously lived and worked in Illinois and Colorado. She moved back to N.D. in recent years and currently resides in Wilton. On Monday, November 5th, she completed her board member orientation and tour of industry partners with BEK CEO/General Manager Derrick Bulawa.
