Protection Plus

BEK’s Protection Plus Plan includes maintenance coverage for your BEK Phone, Internet and TV communications wiring. Under the Protection Plus Plan, BEK Communications will accept responsibility for the maintenance of the customer owned communications wiring from the BEK demarc, throughout the inside of the premises and up to the Customer Owned Equipment (COE).

If you subscribe to the Protection Plus Plan, you will not pay for the premise visit if the trouble is found to be in the COE (i.e.: phones, fax machines, caller ID boxes, modems, etc.). You may join the plan at any time, with a minimum of a two year term.  Other services such as additional jacks, pet damages and advanced router configuration, for example, are billable items that our service technicians can do for you. 

BEK Communications’ Protection Plus Plan covers the following:

• Basic Router Configuration (phone/remote support up to 1/2 hour)
• Additional computers  connected to Internet (phone/  remote support up to 1/2 hour)

• Phone Support (as provided to all customers) including programming remotes, changing inputs, rebooting STB and user training
• Phone Support to reprogram   remotes to new television
• BEKTV remote replacement via mail (limit 1 per customer)

*BEKTV not available in all areas.

Exclusions to the Protection Plus Plan:

• Rewiring of a building for any reason including old, obsolete wiring; damaged/destroyed by fire, flood, or other natural disaster, etc.
• Moveable structures such as campers & RV’s
• Buried cable between buildings not installed by BEK
• Secondary buildings served by On or Off premise extensions
• Inside wire and jacks not originally installed to industry standards
• Business phone systems and data networks including all devices connected to either system and the cabling for the system

Protection Plus Pricing

Residential:  $2.50/month for phone, Internet and/or TV coverage.

Business:  $2.50/month for phone, Internet and/or TV coverage.  Plus $2.50/month per additional line for basic configurations.

Note: Any customer who does not subscribe to the Protection Plus Plan will be subject to premise visit, trouble isolating, repair, material, and labor charges (minimum charges apply). Complex configuration problems of COE taking longer than 30 minutes to resolve will be charged out at $60/hour.
